OBITUARY
OWEN CARMAN
     Owen CARMAN, age 86, of Big Spring, Ky (Breckinridge County), died on Tuesday
August 5, 1975 at 
the Breckinridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg, Ky.  He is survived by:
two daughters:
Mrs. L. W. PAYNE of Big Spring, Ky
Mrs. Buddy WHITWORTH of Big Spring, Ky
two sons:
Oscar CARMAN of Big Spring, Ky
Floyd CARMAN of Vine Grove, Ky (Hardin County)
one sister:
Mrs. Flora CARTER of Irvington, Ky (Breckinridge County)
9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; & 2 great great grandchildren.
     The funeral was held on Friday afternoon, August 8, 1975 from the High Plains
United Methodist 
Church with the Reverend V.K. LaFon officiating.  Burial was in the Preston
Cemetery, Custer, 
directed by the Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington.

Dear Mother and Dad, I love you very much
And long to see your smiling faces
My heart is so lonely for you
And no one can fill your places
I thank God He gave me such a Mother and Dad,
So faithful and true
You taught me to love the Savior
And to do the right I know I must
I am glad God prepared
A place in the Heaven of rest
For those who love and serve Him
And there we shall ever be blest
And I know you've gone on before
To that land of joy and love
And are waiting there for me
When God is ready to call
Me to my home above.
I know you now are resting
From the toil and labor of life
No more pain or sorrow you will suffer
In this world of sin and strife, 
And now you are rejoiceing
The race of life you have won.
You were faithful and true to God
And now life in Heaven, you have begun,
I am going to be faithful,
Dear Mother and Dad
to the calling of God
I'll be true
I'll meet you again in the sweet bye and bye
When my life on earth is through.
