CARMAN Jester Matthews CARMAN, age 83, died on January 17, 1958, about 9:00 a.m. at the residence of a son, Dylus, near Madrid, Ky., in Breckinridge County. His wife, Sarah NOTTINGHAM CARMAN died in 1938. He was a son of Elijah and Lucy BASHAM CARMAN, who passed away several years ago. He is survived by: four sons: Vernon (Verman Mitchell) CARMAN Acia (Acie Merren) CARMAN Ellis (Ellis Evans) CARMAN Dylus CARMAN one daughter: Mrs. Myrtle ARMES One daughter, Mrs. Marvin BROWN passed away seven years ago. He is also survived by: one brother: William CARMAN 25 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews In early life he joined the Fairview Methodist Church, and remained a loyal member until death. He will be greatly missed by his family, neighbors, and friends. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday afternoon at the Fairview Church. Funeral arrangements by Mr. Raymond Dowell, Hardinsburg. Interment in the church cemetery.
