OBITUARY
RUSSELL CARMAN, JR.
     Russell CARMAN, Jr., age 27, of Locust Hill, Ky., in Breckinridge County, 
died on Friday, July 14, 1967 as a result of a gunshot wound.  He was a farmer.
     He is survived by:
his wife, Mrs. Bessie CARMAN
one son:
Russell David CARMAN of the home
his mother, Mrs. Evelyn CARMAN of Locust Hill, Ky
three brothers:
Bobby Joe CARMAN of Locust Hill, Ky
James CARMAN of Locust Hill, Ky
Horace T. CARMAN of SeRee, Ky
two 1/2 brothers:
Jesse M. CARMAN of Locust Hill, Ky
Louis HARPER of the U.S. NAVY
five sisters:
Mrs. Betty Lou RAMSEY of Locust Hill, Ky
Miss Dellie CARMAN of Locust Hill, Ky
Miss Dorothy CARMAN of Locust Hill, Ky
Miss Patsy CARMAN of Locust Hill, Ky
Mrs. Anna Mae SOSH of Hardinsburg, Ky
     The funeral was held on Monday, July 17, 1967 from the Locust Hill 
Methodist Church.  Burial was in the Locust Hill Cemetery, under the direction 
of the Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg.

CORONER'S JURY RULES "ACCIDENT" IN CARMAN DEATH
     A coroner's jury ruled Monday that Russell CARMAN, Jr., 27, of Locust 
Hill, died Friday, July 14, 1967 as the result of an "accident".
     CARMAN was found by passersby on the highway at Locust Hill dead of a 
gunshot wound.  He was shot once in the stomach with a .22 pistol.
     State Police Sgt. Leo Reynolds was the chief witness at the inquest 
conducted by County Coroner Joe Trent.  On the inquest jury were:
Wallace MILLER, Ed ROBBINS, Bob MARTIN, Rupert ASKIN, Willard WHOBERRY, and Lee 
ABBOTT.

Breckinridge County; directly behind the church.
