Trent-Dowell Funeral Home notice
Louis D. "Bubby" Carman, age 69, of Garfield, Ky. died Monday, March 5, 2007 at 
Breckinridge Memorial Hospital.  He was born of April 4, 1937 to the late 
Marvin and Estell Dowell Carman.  He was preceded in death by four brothers, 
W.T., Doc, Dick and his twin brother Raymond and two sisters, Cora N. Stinnett 
and Becky Dowell.  Bubby served for twenty-one years and was retired as 
Breckinridge County Jailer.  He was a heavy equipment operator and a farmer. He 
was a member of the Custer Masonic Lodge #624 and the Garfield Baptist Church 
and had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as his savior. Bubby enjoyed 
hunting, farming and spending time with his grandchildren.  He is survived by 
his loving wife, Lula Belle Moore Carman.  Two children survive, Mike and his 
wife, Sue Carman of Garfield, Ky. and Terri and her husband, Mark Whittaker of 
Hartford, Ky. and three grandsons, Garrett Carman and Zach and Taylor 
Whittaker. Also surviving are two brothers, Charles Carman of Garfield, Ky. and 
Roy Carman of Ekron, Ky. and two sisters Ida "Tiddle" Kinerson of Locust Hill, 
Ky. and Rae Carter of Otisco, Indiana. Funeral Services for Bubby Carman will 
be held at the Garfield Baptist Church on Thursday, at 1:00 pm cst with the 
Reverends Harry Dooley and Don Bruington officiating.  Burial will be in the 
Garfield Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family from 3:30 to 8 pm cst 
Wednesday and from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm Thursday at the Trent-Dowell Funeral 
Home in Hardinsburg. The family request expressions of sympathy be made to the 
Garfield Cemetery or The Gideons.
