Page 4, OLD LADY BURNED
     Mrs. Riley CLEMONS, age 70, who lives at Hites Run (Breckinridge County), 
Ky., was sitting in front of the fireplace about 4:00 Monday morning, and the 
sparks from the fire ignited her dress.  Had it not been for those who were in 
an adjoining room, she would have been burned to death.  However, she was 
badly burned, but not seriously.

DEATH -- Mrs. Riley CLEMMONS, an old lady living out on the Hardinsburg Pike, 
died last Wednesday.  (She died Thursday February 15, 1900 according to her 
tombstone).  Age about 72, and the mother-in-law of George BLAKE.

     V.G. BABBAGE has been appointed administer of the estate of Mrs. Rachel 
CLEMMONS, deceased.

     The sale will be held at the residence near Hites Run of Rachel CLEMMONS, 
deceased.
