OBITUARY
     Donnie Eugene COMPTON, age 41, , of Hardinsburg, Ky., died at 8:07 p.m. on 
Wednesday, January 28, 1987 at Humana Hospital-University, Louisville of head 
injuries suffered in an auto accident on Dixie Highway on January 9, 1987.
     He was born in Breckinridge County on June 8, 1945, a son of the late 
Lonnie COMPTON and Mrs. Alice Juanita COMPTON of Hardinsburg, who survives.  
Mr. COMPTON was a veteran, and a tank mechanic at Fort Knox.
Surviving in addition to his mother are:
his wife Mrs. Doris GOATLEY COMPTON
one daughter
three sons
five sisters
one brother
     Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, 1987 at the 
Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, with burial in the Freedom Cemetery.

     





Additional Comments:
#0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church & Cemetery; Directions: turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from KY Highway 60.  The church lies east 
of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge in Breckinridge County, Ky.
