Obituary

Louis COMPTON, age 66, died Monday March 7, 1960 in Hopkinsville (Christian 
County), Ky.  Louis was born at Garfield in Breckinridge County, and was a 
member of the Vertrees Church in Vertrees, Ky.  He is survived by (no 
relationship given):
Ova L. COMPTON
Donald COMPTON
Kathleen PETERS, Decatur, Illinois
Mildred REED, Vertrees

The funeral was held at Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, Ky. on March 11, 
1960 with burial at the Garfield Cemetery.

His wife, Lizzie COMPTON and one daughter, preceded him in death. 

Additional Comments:
I have walked the Garfield Cemetery searching for my relatives, and I found no 
tombstone for Louis COMPTON or his daughter.  I did find a single tombstone 
for his wife:
COMPTON, Lizzie    1905 -- 1955
