Obituary

Edgar H. COMPTON, age 73, of 1316 Cumberland, Evansville (Vanderburgh County), 
Indiana, died in Welborn Baptist Hospital.  Before retiring in 1951, he was an 
employee of the Louisville & Nashville Railroad Company for 38 years.  He was 
born in Breckinridge County, Ky., and moved to Evansville from Madisonville 
about 45 years ago.  A member of the Masonic Lodge & Shrine at Madisonville, 
the Howell Baptist Church, and the International Association of Retired 
Railroad men.  He is survived by:
his wife, Mrs. Mirl COMPTON
two sisters:
Mrs. Mirriam DUVALL, Louisville (Jefferson County), Ky.
Mrs. Bessie ATER, Irvington (Breckinridge County), Ky.
also nieces and nephews.

Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Alexander Funeral Home of 
Evansville, in charge of arrangements.
