OBITUARY    Page 4, Captain Joseph Conkwright  1929-1996
     Captain Joseph Conkwright, a 66 year old Hardinsburg resident, died November 
13, 1996 at his residence.  He was born in Breckinridge County on December 23, 
1929, a son of the late John Nelson and Nora Fitzhugh Conkwright.  He was a 
retired riverboat captain for 47 years.
Surviving are:
his wife, Cathern Chism Conkwright of Hardinsburg
one daughter 
one son
two stepdaughters
four stepsons
one sister
two brothers
17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren
     Funeral services were held Saturday, November 16, 1996 at Trent-Dowell 
Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, with burial in the Kingswood Cemetery.
