OBITUARY

     Percy "Moon" DAVIS, a 64-year-old Princeton, Ky resident, formerly of 
Locust Hill in Breckinridge County, died on Thursday, May 11, 1989 at the 
Madisonville Memorial Hospital, following a lengthy illness.  Mr. DAVIS was 
born in Breckinridge County on April 12, 1925, a son of the late John and 
Nettie SCIFRES DAVIS.
                Survivors include:
one daughter
three sons
two sisters:
Ms. Martha THOMPSON of Irvington, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Ms. Lynn HECK of Atlanta, Georgia (Fulton & DeKalb Counties)
one brother:
Park DAVIS of Irvington, Ky
5 grandchildren
     The funeral services were held on Sunday, May 14, 1989 at the Trent-
Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg.  Burial was in the Turpin Cemetery in 
Locust Hill, Ky.


NOTE:  Percy DAVIS'S mother's maiden name is SAFFER, not SCIFRES
       (see Nettie SAFFER DAVIS'S obituary on this archives site)
       Princeton, Ky is in Caldwell County
       Madisonville, Ky is in Hopkins County
