Maurice Davis, age 77 of Harned,KY died Wednesday, June 13,2007 at Lake 
Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset,KY. He was born in Breckinridge County 
on October 8,1929, the son of the late Carl and Altha Robinson Davis. Maurice 
was a Navy veteran, a member of Harned United Methodist Church and a retired 
painter.
 
He enjoyed farming,gardening,bird watching, basketball and restoring antique 
tractors.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife - Shirley Davis
a sister - Dorothy Phillips
 
Maurice is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Bob and Paulette Davis of 
Livermore,KY
2 daughters & sons-in-law: Georgia and Keith Whelan of Brandenburg,KY
Lisa and Mitch Powers of Crestwood,KY
5 grandchildren - Lauren,Logan,Lindsay,Brooke & Billy
3 great grandchildren: Ethan, Aiden & Kate
1 brother - Floyd Davis of Jeffersontown,KY
 
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 15,2007 at 11AM CDT at Trent-
Dowell Funeral Home with Rev. J.A. Lawhorn officiating. Burial will be in the 
Harned Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3-8PM CDT and after 8:30AM Friday.
 
Memorial contributions are requested to: Harned Cemetery, American Diabetis 
Foundation or Alzheimer's Association
