SUMMERS DEAN

Summers Dean, 82, formerly of South Carrollton, Russellville, and Louisville, died
Tuesday morning at Detroit, Mich., where he resided with his daughter, Mrs. Lucille
Dean Madison.  He was a son of William Johnson Dean and Mary Elizabeth Godman dean,
of Glen Dean, Breckinridge county.  His wife, Jennie Eads Dean, died several years
ago.  He is survived by five children, William J. Dean, Misses Margaret and
Elizabeth Dean, of New York City, Mrs. Lucille Dean Madison of Detroit, Mich., and
Edward Dean, of Louisville.  He was a brother of the later John Allen Dean,
Owensboro, and Charles W. and Amanda R. Dean, of Glen Dean, and Mrs. Margaret D.
Cornwall, of New York City.  His funeral will be held at the home of Charles W.
Dean, near Glen Dean at 2 p. m. Thursday.  Burial will be in the family burying
ground.
