DeJARNETTE, one of the most prominent farmers of the county, died at his home near Jolly Station Saturday morning February 27, 1904. The funeral services were conducted Sunday, February 28, 1904, at Corinth, the Baptist Church, of which he had been an active member for nearly 30 years. The Reverend W. H. FITZGERALD, of Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County), Pastor of the Hardinsburg Baptist Church, officiating at the funeral. His wife and 8 children are left to mourn the loss of husband and father. He was a brother of: Charles R. DeJARNETTE Stewart DeJARNETTE, who was formerly sheriff of the county W. S. DeJARNETTE M. C. DeJARNETTE Mrs. Judith A. BALL The immediate cause of his death was pneumonia. He served on the Petit Jury during the last term of court. He returned home on Friday, and was seized with the illness, of which caused his death. He was one of the best families of the county, and was widely known as a good man and a good citizen. NOTE: Jolly Station is now called McQuady.
