OBITUARY     1918-2000
     Ms. Lucille DOWELL, age 82, of Louisville, Ky., in Jefferson County, died 
on Friday, August 18, 2000, at Mt. Holly Nursing Home in Louisville.  She was 
born in Breckinridge County on April 11, 1918, a daughter of the late Clarence 
DOWELL and Lena BEAUCHAMP.  She was retired from St. Joseph Hospital in 
Louisville, as a doctor's assistant, and was a member of the Garfield Cumberland 
Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by:
one sister
one brother
a niece and nephew
     The funeral was held on Sunday, August 20, 2000 at the Trent-Dowell Funeral 
Home in Hardinsburg.  Burial was in the Freedom Cemetery.



Additional Comments:
#0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from KY Highway 60.  The church lies east 
of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge; in Breckinridge County, Ky.
