OBITUARY
MR. EZRA DOWELL DIES SUDDENLY
     Mr. Ezra DOWELL died suddenly Sunday afternoon at the home of his son, Mr. 
Frank DOWELL and Mrs. DOWELL of near Garfield, Ky., in Breckinridge County.  Mr. 
DOWELL had been ill for several days, but his condition was not thought to be 
alarming.
     He would have been 79 years old had he lived to March 24, 1925.  Mr. DOWELL 
was a devout member of the Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church for nearly 50 
years, and an Elder in that church for 40 years.
     Mr. DOWELL was twice married.  His first wife was Miss Elizabeth NORTON, of 
near Webster, and his second wife was Miss Anna WOOD, who preceded him to the 
grave several years ago.
     He is survived by:
seven children:
Charles DOWELL of Garfield, Ky
Frank DOWELL of Garfield, Ky
Austin DOWELL of Garfield, Ky
Mrs. S. M. HAYNES of Garfield, Ky
Mrs. Robert POOLE of Garfield, Ky
Tom DOWELL of Arlington, Nebraska
Nathan DOWELL of Armstrong, Illinois
All of whom attended the funeral.  Tom and Nathan arrived Tuesday.
     Funeral services were held at Freedom on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m., conducted 
by his pastor, the Reverend A. E. Bailey, after which the remains were laid to 
rest in the Freedom Cemetery.  Masons having charge of the burial---(bottom of 
obituary was torn off)---    





Additional Comments:
#0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from KY Highway 60.  The church lies east 
of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge; in Breckinridge County, Ky.
