Page 6, Obituary:

Mrs. Eliza E. Dowell, wife of Mr. Lorenzo D. Dowell, died of congestion of the 
lungs at her home near Sample on January 30, 1894, at aged 57 years.  She joined 
the M. E. Church at Hazel Dell about 28 years ago.  She was taken to Sample for 
her funeral on February 1st., by Reverand Hartford of Stephensport;  her pastor 
Reverand W. B. Sneed being too ill to do the ceremony.  She was buried in the 
cemetery at Union Star.

M. E. Church stands for Methodist Episcopal Church.
