Obituary

Lorenza B u r n i s DOWELL, age 70, died at Hopkinsville, Ky. on Friday, 
February 19, 1960.  The body was brought to Alexander Funeral Home, at 
Irvington, Breckinridge County, where the funeral services was held Tuesday.  
Burial at the Big Spring Methodist Church Cemetery, in Breckinridge County, 
Ky.
Surviving Lorenza are:
her daughters:
Mrs. Katherine THORNHILL, Guston, Ky.
Mrs. Blanche DAHL, Louisville, Ky.
Mrs. Louise HANSON, Portland, Oregon
her sons:
Jess DOWELL, Louisville, Ky.
Horace DOWELL, Irvington, Ky.
Elra (Eira?) DOWELL, Rineyville, Ky.
Ginger DOWELL, Ashland (Ky.?)
20 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren
one brother:
Ben DOWELL, Louisville, Ky.






Additional Comments:
I could not find a tombstone for Lorenza in Meade County or Breckinridge 
County cemeteries books that I own.

Hopkinsville, Ky., is in Christian County.

The Big Spring United Methodist Church at Big Spring in Breckinridge County is 
now (July 2017) called the Big Spring - Corners United Methodist Church.  
Living in Wisconsin, I have no idea when the name of the church was changed.
