OBITUARY   Page-12  Column-1
     James Edward DUKE, age 35, a resident of Outwood Hospital in Dawson 
Springs, Ky., died Wednesday, August 1, 1979 at the Hopkins County Hospital, 
Madisonville, Ky.  He was born April 25, 1944 in Breckinridge County, Ky.
He is survived by:
his father, Willie DUKE of Harned, Ky
his mother, Dillis DAVIS DUKE of Custer, Ky
two sisters:
Mrs. Louise DUNN of Hardinsburg, Ky
Mrs. Shirley CARMAN of Harned, Ky
one brother, David Earl DUKE of Hardinsburg, Ky
     Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 4, 1979 from the Trent-
Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg.  Burial was in the Freedom Church Cemetery.



Additional Comments:
#0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from KY Highway 60.  The church lies east 
of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge.  Breckinridge County, Ky.
