Pearl Katherine Duncan, age 94 of Hardinsburg, KY died Thursday, August 20, 
2009 at Breckinridge Health, INC. She was born in Breckinridge County on 12-24-
1914, the daughter of the late Will DeJarnette and Laura Davis. She was a 
homemaker who was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a great cook who 
made the best biscuits and gravy. According to her family, "if she had a home, 
you had a home".
 
She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard and her son Charles.
 
She is survived by 10 children: Leonard Duncan, Jr and Anna Laura Peterson of 
Irvington, KY
Marvin, James and Gerald Duncan, Mary K. Peyton, Margaret Mucker and Sallie 
Robertson of Hardinsburg, KY
Garfield Duncan of Louisville, KY
Lula Mae Terrell of Washington, DC
56 grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren
 
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2009 at 11AM CDT at 
Talbert Chapel Methodist Church with Bro. James Duncan officiating. Burial 
will be in the Hardinsburg Cemetery. Visitation on Sunday at Trent-Dowell 
Funeral Home from 4-8PM CDT and after 8:30AM CDT Monday.
