Mr. DURBIN spent the early part of his life on a farm near Garfield, Ky (Breckinridge County), moving with his family to Irvington in 1920. He was married to Miss Flora KENNER on February 25, 1888, and seven children were born to this union. Preceding him in death were two sons, Lonnie and James DURBIN, killed in World War I in 1918, his wife in 1949, and a daughter, Ruth DURBIN in 1854. Surviving Mr. DURBIN are: two sons: Jesse DURBIN of Irvington, Ky Russell DURBIN of Irvington, Ky two daughters: Mrs. Ella BASHAM of of Irvington, Ky Mrs. Eugene RICHARDSON of Brandenburg, Ky (Meade County) 4 grandchildren The funeral was held on Thursday, January 19, 1961 from the Irvington Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Alexander Funeral Home of Irvington in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Garfield Cemetery. Additional Comments: Breckinridge County Cemeteries, volume one, published in 1991: Garfield Cemetery, located on the west side of Garfield on Highway 60. Cemetery can be seen from the road.
