Mrs. Grace Irene Eskridge, an 87 year old Rt. 1, Falls of Rough resident, died 
Tuesday, January 20 (1987) at Norton's Hospital, Louisville.  Born in 
Breckinridge County on September 29, 1899, a daughter of the late Melvin and 
Mattie Hinton Simmons.  A member of the Lone Star Church of Christ.  Surviving 
are:
a daughter:
Mrs. John (Pauline) Lanham, Falls of Rough
four step-daughters:
Mrs. Anna Embry, Atlanta, Georgia
Mrs. Dorothy Hargrave, Louisville
Mrs. Gertrude Stewart, Louisville
Mrs. Frances Tyler, Ft. Smith, Arkansas
two sons:
Charles William Simmons, Louisville
Robert Melvin Simmons, Denver, Colorado
two step-sons:
David Eskridge, California
Lawrence Eskridge, Louisville
4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; several step-grandchildren, great 
grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Funeral - was Friday January 23 from the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, 
Hardinsburg.  Rev. Glen Ledbetter officiating.
Burial - Macedonia Cemetery, Rockvale.
