Sylvester 'Syl' Evitts, age 61 of Hardinsburg, Ky died Wednesday, 2-21-2007 at 
his residence. He was born in Dunmore, KY on 12-18-1945. 
 
He was an Army veteran who enjoyed horseback,motorcycle and dirt bike riding as 
well as fishing.
 
He was preceded ind eath by his mother Etta Mae Harper
his father Arvin Evitts
his stepfather Otha Harper
 
He is survived by his wife of 25 years Joyce Jean Jackson Evitts of 
Hardinsburg,KY
2 sons - Tony & Jason Evitts of Evansville,IN
a stepdaughter - Carla Nash of Hardinsburg,KY
9 grandchildren: Cole Nash
Tony Jr,Chasity,Chad & Jenny Evitts
Jesy,Kaylin,Dakota & Zeckariah Evitts
3 brothers: Ed Evitts,Randy Harper & Grady Harper of Evansville,IN
5 sisters: Christene Pfingston and Patricia Goodwin of Evansville,IN
Faye Stone of Mt. Vernon,IN
Sharon Underhill and Dorothy pease of Newburgh,IN
 
Fuenral services were held on Saturday, 2-24-2007 at 2PM at Corinth Baptist 
Church in McQuady,KY with Rev. Jake Huffman officiating under the direction of 
Trent-Dowell Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are requested to the family 
in care of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home.
