WALTER FENTRESS HIT BY CAR; KILLED TUESDAY
age 67 of Harned was struck and killed by a car Tuesday about 4:45 a.m. (CST), 
while he was walking on U.S. Highway 60 at Harned.
     Hit by Willard Robinson, Westview.  It was dark and Robinson failed to see 
Fentress.  Robinson was on his way to Hardinsburg where he operates a restaurant.
Police said Fentress apparently was killed instantly.

OBITUARY
     Walter Fentress, age 67, of Harned, died Tuesday, April 23, 1968, when he 
was struck by a car on U.S. Highway 60 at Harned.  He was born in Grayson County, 
a son of the late David and Lucy Morgan Fentress.  He was a retired farmer.
He is survived by:
his wife, Mrs. Lula Fentress
three sons:
Charles Fentress of Harned
Dan Fentress of Harned
Eugene Fentress of Harned
four daughters:
Mrs. Anna Lucy Noon of Los Angeles, California
Mrs. Elaine Hinton of Hardinsburg
Mrs Mary Nell Brumfield of Valley Station
Miss Linda Fentress of Harned
one brother:
Fielding Fentress of Harned
two sisters:
Mrs. Mattie Tuttle of Eastview
Mrs. Marguerite Tague of Louisville
