FRANK -- PHYSICIAN, FARMER, & PROMINENT MASON SUCCUMBS TO DEATH WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28, LEAVES A WIDOW AND ONE DAUGHTER -- Dr. J.H.W. FRANK, one of Breckinridge County's most prominent physicians and farmers, died at his home near Irvington Wednesday March 28, 1900, and was buried the next day by the Masonic Order of which he was a highly respected member and an ardent supporter. Dr. FRANK was born, reared, and educated in Washington, D.C. He lived some time in Nashville, Tennessee where he engaged in newspaper work. From there he moved to Breckinridge County about 1855, and engaged in the practice of medicine with his brother-in-law, Dr. HOUSTON near Clifton Mills. He owned a fine farm near Irvington. He was a Royal Arch Mason, and the first High Priest of the Cloverport Chapter of Masonry. Dr. FRANK is survived by his wife, who was the Widow DENT, nee Miss MEADOR, and one daughter, Mrs. D. C. HERON. Additional Comments: I did not find a tombstone for Dr. Frank, his wife, or his daughter in the Breckinridge County Cemeteries, volume one, published in 1991.
