Obituary

William "Willie" FRENCH, age 78 of 801 South 33rd. Street, Louisville 
(Jefferson County), Ky., died Thursday, September 15, 1960 at Saints Mary & 
Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Walnut Grove Baptist Church, with burial 
in the church cemetery.  The Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington (Breckinridge 
County) Ky., was in charge of the arrangements.

James BROWN

Mr. FRENCH was formerly of Breckinridge County, and had lived in Louisville 
several years.  He was a member of the New Bethel Church.  Surviving him are:
his wife, Edith DOWELL FRENCH
one sister:
Mrs. Annie BROWN, Louisville, Ky.
one brother:
Proctor FRENCH, Louisville, Ky.



Additional Comments:
William and his wife Edith have a tombstone.

Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, located east of Clifton Mills (Lodiburg-
Garfield) Road, about 4/5 miles south of Lodiburg in northeastern Breckinridge 
County.
