GARRETT DEAD -- John GARRETT, an old Confederate soldier, died Monday, October 3, 1904, at his home between Cloverport and Balltown, Ky (Breckinridge County). Death was supposed to be due to heart trouble, as he died very suddenly. For years, he had had dropsy. He was about 75 years old. He came to this county from Tennessee, and formerly resided in this city. He leaves several children. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon, October 4, 1904, interment being in the city cemetery; (Cloverport Cemetery). Additional Comments: I did not find a tombstone for John GARRETT in the Breckinridge County Cemetery Book, volume 1, published in 1991.
