OBITUARY

FOUR LITTLE GIRLS ARE BURNED TO DEATH IN BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY
HARDINSBURG -- Four small sisters were burned to death on Tuesday (March 20, 
1956) when fire destroyed their one room home at SeRee, a Breckinridge County 
crossroads Community about 15 miles from here.
     The girls, daughters of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas GOODMAN, were Doris 5, Betty Lou 
3, Mary 2, and Judy 6 months.
     Officials said the girls mother had left the children alone to go to the 
home of a relative about 500 feet from their home.  Mr. GOODMAN said she glanced 
out the window and saw her home in flames.
     Neighbors were unable to enter the burning home.  Cause of the fire has not 
been determined.
     The girls' father has been living in Louisville.
