Trent-Dowell Funeral Home
Sam Gootee, age 56 of Custer, KY died Monday, 11-23-2009 at Hosparus Inpatient 
in Louisville, KY. He was born in Breckinridge County on 4-13-1953, the son of 
the late Junior Lee and Nettie Mae Gootee. He was a farmer who enjoyed 4 
wheeling and was a coin collector.
 
He was preceded in death by his grandson - Martin Joseph Gootee, Jr
sister - Linda Shaw and brother Thomas Gootee
 
Sam is survived by special friends and caretakers Eddie and Kim Bennett of 
Custer, KY
son - Martin Joseph Gootee of Salem, IN
2 brothers - Frances Lee and Jack Lee Gootee of Custer, KY
2 sisters - Georgia Mae Miller of Webster, KY and Maggie Mary Ammons of 
Radcliff,KY
1 grandson - Samuel Joseph Gootee of Salem, IN
 
Funeral services will be held on Friday, 11-27-2009 at 11AM at Trent-Dowell 
Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Harris officiating. Burial will be in the Custer 
Cemtery. Visitation on Wednesday from 3:30 - 8:00PM and after 8:30AM Firday.
