OBITUARY

     Mrs. Mary Alliene GRANT, age 95, of Louisville, Ky in Jefferson County, 
formerly of Union Star, Ky (Breckinridge County), died on Friday, January 7, 
1983 at the Georgetown Manor Nursing Home in Louisville.
     She was born in Breckinridge County in 1887, a daughter of the late Mary 
Ellen BARGER BIDDLE and John Franklin BIDDLE.  She was the postmaster at 
Frymire for 26 years, and was the widow of William GRANT.
                       Surviving Mrs. GRANT are:
one daughter:
Mrs. Edna MARCHIO of Louisville, Ky
one son:
Gordon GRANT of Albany, Ky (Clinton County)
7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren
     Funeral services were held on Monday, January 10, 1983 from the chapel of 
the Jenkins Funeral Home in Brandenburg, Ky in Meade County.  Burial was in 
the Bruner Cemetery at Union Star.
