GREGORY died at her home in this city (Cloverport) on Wednesday at 9:40 p.m., May 25, 1904, after 2 months illness from pneumonia and la grippe. Mrs. GREGORY was born June 24, 1822. She was a Miss CLAYCOMB, the youngest of a family of 16 children. In 1842 she was married to George N. GREGORY. To this union were born 4 children: Mary E. GREGORY Peter S. GREGORY John F. GREGORY Drue E. GREGORY The first named child died in 1884 (tombstone says she died 1879), and the others, with the husband, survive her. Also 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. The funeral was held at the family residence at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 1904. The services were conducted by the Reverend S. O. CHRISTIAN of the Baptist Church, of which the deceased was a member for about 65 years. Interment was in the city cemetery. Her tombstone may have been very hard to read, being an aged stone.
