He was a native of Breckinridge County, Ky, a retired employee with P. Lorillard Tobacco Company, a Baptist by faith, and a member of Masonic Lodge #760, Daylight Lodge. He is survived by his wife, five children, a sister, and nine grandchildren. Cremation was chosen. There will be no funeral or visitation. Schoppenhorst & Underwood Funeral Home, 1832 W. JAMES LOGSDON son of Laurel HAIR & Mary Magdlene "Maggie" (nee: HAIR) have his Death Notice he shares a double tombstone with his 3rd wife, Myrl/Merle L. JAMES HAIR, Virginia born about 1908 -- 12 Dec 1932 (her death certificate lists, died 09 Dec 1932) 1st wife of Willis HAIR daughter of John CARMAN & Mary Eliza WEST have her death certificate she has a tombstone Chester HAIR'S brother went missing in action in North Korea on 12 Dec 1950. His body was never recovered. He was presumed dead on 31 Dec 1953: HAIRE, Ova Lee 30 Apr 1932 -- 12 Dec 1950 PFC--Private First Class Ova L. HAIRE was a member of Company K, 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was listed as missing in action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on December 12, 1950. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953.
