OBITUARY
     Willie "Buddy" HALE, age 92 of Hardinsburg, formerly of Westview in 
Breckinridge County, died on Tuesday, November 7, 1989, at Breckinridge 
Memorial Hospital, Hardinsburg.
     Mr. Hale was born in Grayson County, Ky on September 7, 1897, a son of 
the late John E. and Fannie PIERCE HALE.  He was a retired farmer.  His 
wife, Mrs. Carrie Thelma HALE and a son, Stanley HALE, preceded him in 
death.
Surviving are:
four daughters:
Mrs. Yvonne ADKINS of Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County)
Mrs. Mildred CARTY of Springfield, Ohio (Clark County)
Mrs. Virginia HARDIN of Elizabethtown, Ky (Hardin County)
Mrs. Margie FUQUA of Cloverport, Ky (Breckinridge County)
five sons:
Elvis HALE of Greenville, Illinois (Bond County)
Johnny HALE of Russellville, Ky (Logan County)
Emmett HALE of Falls Of Rough, Ky (Breckinridge & Grayson Counties)
Edgar HALE of Louisville, Ky
David HALE of Leitchfield, Ky (Grayson County)
two brothers:
Wavie HALE of Hardinsburg, Ky
Harry HALE of McQuady, Ky (Breckinridge County)
47 grandchildren and several great grandchildren
     The funeral was held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 1989 from the 
chapel of the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, with the Reverend Ron 
Miller, officiating.  Burial was in McDaniels Cemetery.

Willie's full name is John William HALE.
I made a mistake in the count of Willie's children when I posted the 1929 
death notice for Willie's first wife, Izetta Jane HUBBARD HALE.  I found the 
list of 5 children on the Find-A-Grave website through Ancestry.com.  You 
can see from Willie's obituary that he had 10 children, not five.  I regret 
the mistake.
