OBITUARY
     Mrs. Carrie Thelma HALE, age 80, of Tindle's Personal Care (Nursing 
Home), Cloverport, Ky in Breckinridge County, died Saturday, March 5, 1983.  
She was born in Breckinridge County, the daughter of the late Ben C. and 
Florence PRYOR FERRY on September 3, 1902.
Surviving Mrs. HALE are:
her husband, Willie
three sons:
David HALE of Route #2, Leitchfield, Ky (Grayson County)
Emmett HALE of Shelbyville, Illinois (Shelby County)
Edgar HALE of Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County)
three daughters:
Mrs Mildred Carty, Springfield, Ohio (Clark County)
Virginia HARDIN, Irvington, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Margie FUQUA of Hardinsburg, Ky
three step-children:
Elvis HALE of Greenville, Illinois (Bond County)
Johnny HALE of Russellville, Ky (Logan County)
Natalia ADKINS of Louisville, Ky
a step-mother:
Lee FERRY of Irvington, Ky
28 grandchildren & 18 step-grandchildren
four brothers:
Paul, Guy, Roy, and Foy FERRY, all of Hardinsburg, Ky
two sisters:
Fannie HALE of Cloverport, Ky
Rhea LUCAS of SeRee, Ky (Breckinridge County)
five half brothers:
Lester, Lonard, Tom, Joe, and Herbert FERRY (no residences given)
three half-sisters:
Dorothy KEMPISTZ of Illinois
Dora Ann WRIGHT of Stephensport, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Vitula BRADLEY of Green Bay, Wisconsin (Brown County)
     Funeral services were held on Monday, March 7, 1983, at the Trent-
Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, with burial in the McDaniels Cemetery, 
with Brother Ron Miller and Brother Jim Rothrock officiating.

      Carrie Thelma FERRY  02 Sep 1902 -- 05 Mar 1983
I do not know if Carrie and Willie have a tombstone.
Willie's full name is John William HALE.
I made a mistake in the count of Willie's children when I posted the 1929 
death notice for Willie's first wife, Izetta Jane HUBBARD HALE.  I found the 
list of 5 children on the Find-A-Grave website through Ancestry.com.  You 
can see from Willie HALE'S obituary that he had 10 children, not five.  I 
regret the mistake.
Carrie's obituary does not mention Willie's son, Stanley HALE that preceded 
Willie in death.  (see Willie's obituary posted on this Archives site).  
Stanley HALE is most likely the son of Willie's first wife, Izetta Jane 
HUBBARD HALE.
Notice:  Carrie's tombstone gives her birth date as: 02 Sep 1902
