Born in Breckinridge County on February 23, 1937, Mr. Harned was the son of the late Hubert Harned and Molly Dyer. He was employed by Caesar's Riverboat Cas ino, was a member and deacon of Guston Baptist Church, chairman and member of Breckinridge County Board of Education, past chairman and current member of Breckinridge Memorial Hospital Board, member of Custer Masonic Lodge #624, former little league coach, former elementary school basketball referee, board member of Hardinsburg Sports & Recreational Complex, and associate member of UK Alumni. A great-grandson, Brian Lee Harned, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Clara Rose Robinson Harned; a daughter and son- in-law, Lea Ann and Steve Stidham of Custer; a son and daughter-in-law, Lyndall and Hilma Harned of Ashland; a sister, Jeanette Harned Stith of Custer; four grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Scott, and Justin Harned, and Chasiti Stakelin. Services were held Monday May 6, at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, with the Rev. Jim Ensor officiating. Burial was in Custer Cemetery.
