He was born in that Community on February 15, 1868, and was married March 4, 1897 to Miss Lulie PATE of near Cloverport, who survives with four children: three daughters: Mrs. Hubert MILLER Mrs. Ollie MILLER Miss Elmina HAWKINS one son: Godfrey HAWKINS who lives near Mattingly. 6 grandchildren two brothers (not named) four sisters (not named) besides a host of friends. Mr. HAWKINS united with the Pisgah Baptist Church about 1894. He was very charitable both in works and deeds, and lived a very noble life.
