     Mr. Doc HAWKINS is quite ill at his home near Mattingly, Ky. 
(Breckinridge County).  He is in his 72 year.

Page 1, DEATH AT BALLTOWN, February 16, 1900 (Special)
     Mr. Riley "Doc" HAWKINS, residing near this place, died Wednesday evening 
at 7:00, February 14, 1900, of pneumonia.  Illness of a few days.  He was in 
his 74th year(should be his 72nd year), and leaves his wife and ten children.  
He was buried Friday afternoon at the New Bethel Cemetery.

Additional Comments:
Mr. Riley HAWKINS was not buried at the New Bethel Cemetery.  He is listed in 
the Breckinridge County Cemeteries, volume one, published in 1991:
MILLER Cemetery #5, located on the Moorman HENDRICKS farm.
