She lived a full and fruitful life, a devoted Christian, a member of the Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church for many years, where she loved to attend as long as her health permitted. She held a life membership in the Missionary Auxiliary, and at one time was a deacon in the church. She was loved by all who knew her, and will be greatly missed in the community. The funeral was held on Wednesday, November 21, 1962 at 2:00 p.m. in the Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church by the Reverend Clarence BREAR, assisted by the Reverend James Wolf. Burial was in the Freedom Cemetery, with the Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, in charge of arrangements. Her husband, Payton HAYNES, preceded her in death sixteen years ago, also a step- daughter (she was not named in obituary). She is survived by: two sons: Blanford HAYNES of Hardinsburg, Ky Morris HAYNES of Harned, Ky two daughters: Mrs. Flanklin (should be Franklin) (Ella) MEADOR of Bowling Green, Ky Mrs. Cora HAGER of Locust Hill, Ky 26 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. PALLBEARERS were 8 grandsons: Ralph HAYNES Bluford MEADOR Kenneth HAYNES Baynard MEADOR Cloyd HAYNES Morris E. HOWARD Ernie HAYNES Clinton HAYNES Additional Comments: #0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church & Cemetery; Directions: Turn north immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from Kentucky Highway 60.
