Union Star, Ky (Breckinridge County) January 23, 1929 (Special)
     Abraham G. HAYNES died at his home at this place on January 3, 1929.  
He was born March 24, 1884, the son of Jabez and Sarah Elizabeth HAYNES.
     Mr. HAYNES had served in the U.S. Army with the Coast Artillery from 
1906--1909.  After this, he was engaged in the Mercantile business at Union 
Star for a number of years.  Since that time, he had been a farmer in the 
community where the greater part of his life was spent.
     On June 22, 1914 he was married to Miss Eulah Hope CART, the daughter 
of W. Scott CART, who with one daughter, Eliza Ellen HAYNES, survives.  Mr. 
HAYNES is survived by:
his mother
two brothers:
James Arthur HAYNES of Union Star, Ky
June M. HAYNES of Union Star, Ky
four sisters:
Mrs. P. J. HERRMANN of Tell City, Indiana (Perry County)
Mrs. Frank Jolly of Hardinsburg, Ky
Mrs. Charles HOOK of Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County)
Mrs. G. E. SHELMAN of Union Star, Ky
Mr. HAYNES was known throughout the section of Breckinridge County in which 
he lived.

Additional Comments:
Abraham HAYNES has a tombstone at the Union Star Cemetery, located at Union 
Star, Ky.  I could not find a tombstone for his wife listed in either 
cemetery book or what is posted for Union Star Cemetery here on the Archives 
site.  She did not die until 1987.  (see her obituary I posted on this 
Archives site)
