Twice a Week Messenger; April 18, 1902
Mr. Richard Herndon, a former well-known citizen of Breckenridge county, died
Thursday, April 10, at Lakewood, N. J.  The remains of Mr. Herndon were brought on
to Irvington, reaching their destination Saturday night.  Richard Herndon was the
brother of the well known Breckenridge county gentlemen, Messrs. Bate, Jesse and
Henry Herndon.  Three sisters, Mrs. John Wimp, of Irvington; Mrs. Waller, of
Hopkinsville, and Mrs. Kitty Sterett, of Lakota, N. D., also survive him.
