She was born in Breckinridge County on December 10, 1914, a daughter of the late Vermont and Pearl BEARD ROBBINS. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church for the past 75 years, attending Freedom, Ephesus, and Clifton Mills. An avid reader of the Bible, a Sunday School Teacher, active in CPW, and church Women United, a seamstress, and enjoyed discussing religion and politics. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Denver HOBBS in 1988 one daughter, Beverly Wood in 2010 three brothers: Edward ROBBINS Marion ROBBINS Alfred ROBBINS five sisters: Bessie FRANK Pauline GUTHRIE Louise HICKERSON Lottie BALL Margaret MILLER She is survived by: three sons one daughter one son-in-law 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one great grandchild (all named) Funeral services were held at the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, on Sunday, January 20, 2013. Burial in Freedom Cemetery. Additional Comments: #0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: turn north immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from KY Highway 60.
