HOOK On Thursday, January 5, 1899, death visited the home of Jubal HOOK, Sr., and claimed as its victim his wife, Sarah C. Hook (nee= MEADOR), who was born December 17, 1842 near the town of Hardinsburg, where she spent most of her life. She was married to Jubal HOOK on February 17, 1860. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and an earnest Christian, a devoted wife and mother. Her remains were interred in the family burial grounds at the Elihu MEADOR place on Saturday, January 7, 1899. She leaves her husband and seven children, and many friends to mourn her death. Children and husband, remember your promise to mother and wife. Additional Comments: I must say, it took a few moments to figure this out. Sarah is listed in two different cemeteries. Except, they are the same. Two different transcribers, and two different names for the same cemetery.
