Trent-Dowell Funeral Home Obituary Listings
Hazel Edna Basham Huffines, age 91 of Harned,KY 
died Thursday, June 12,2008 at Medco Center. She 
was born in Grayson County,KY on 11-19-1916, the 
daughter of the late John Reilly and Anna Lee 
Pullen Basham. She was a homemaker who loved 
working in her yard. She was a member of Eastern 
Star Chapter #436, VFW Ladies Auxilliary and the 
Presbyterian faith. Hazel became  known as "The 
Banana Lady" because she delivered bananas to the 
nursing home on a regular basis.

She was preceded in death by her husband - 
Johnnie Hartsell Huffines, a granddaughter - 
Larleta Bogard, and by a great grandson: Coleman Brantly Hale.

Hazel is survived by 2 children: 
Randy Huffines of Harned,KY
Barbara Ann Woosley of Boston,KY
4 grandchildren: Ranzel and Banean Hale
Randi Kay Flood and LaRay Huffines
8 great grandchildren: Cricket, Austin and Shelby 
Hale, Reba Bogard, Cody, Cassidy and Delaney Flood 
and Kolby Huffines

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 16,2008 
at 11AM at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home with Bro. Gary 
Stevenson officiating. Burial will be in the Harned 
Cemetery. Visitation on Sunday from 3:30 - 8:00PM 
and after 8:30AM Monday.
