Breckinridge County Herald-News, Friday, February 3, 1961
OBITUARY
     Samuel HUNTER, age 65, died Tuesday, January 24, 1961 at the Breckinridge 
Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg.  He was a resident of Big Spring, Ky, and 
had worked for the HARDAWAY family at Big Spring for nearly 50 years.
     The funeral services were held on Saturday, January 28, 1961 from the 
Living Church of God.  The Alexander Funeral Home of Irvington, Ky was in 
charge of arrangements, and burial was in the Irvington Cemetery.
Surviving Mr. HUNTER are:
one son:
Samuel HUNTER, Jr. (no residence given)
one brother:
Jim HUNTER of Irvington, Ky
four sisters:
Mrs. Kate POOL of Irvington, Ky
Mrs. Dora BROWN of Irvington, Ky
Eleanor MUCKER of Valley Statoion, Ky (Jefferson County)
Mrs. Lillie DIGGS of Detroit, Michigan (Wayne County)






Additional Comments:
I did not find a tombstone for Mr. HUNTER in the Breckinridge County 
Cemeteries, volume one, published in 1991.
I believe the Irvington Cemetery named in Mr. HUNTER'S obituary, is actually 
called Brooks Memorial Cemetery, which is at Irvington, Ky.
