OBITUARY
     George L. JARBOE, Jr., age 80, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri (Butler County), 
died at Doctors Regional Medical Center.  He had been in declining health for 
two years.
     Mr. JARBOE was born February 6, 1914.  He was married to the former 
Evelyn WILLIAMS of McDaniels, Ky (Breckinridge County), on October 8, 1938.  
The couple moved to Poplar Bluff, Missouri in 1938.  He was a member of the 
First United Methodist Church of Poplar Bluff.
Surviving other than his wife are three children:
Janet CROW of Missouri
George JARBOE of Missouri
Wallace JARBOE of Texas
two brothers:
Jesse JARBOE of of Texas
Wallace E. JARBOE of Georgia
6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren
     The funeral was held Wednesday, August 31, 1994 at the First United 
Methodist Church with Dr. John RAY officiating.  Burial was in Memorial 
Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, under the direction of the Cotrell Funeral 
Chapel.

I believe I found George L. JARBOE Jr.'s father in the Breckinridge County 
Cemeteries, volume one, published in 1991:
New Ivy Hill Cemetery, Hardinsburg, Ky
JARBOE, George L.  19 Nov 1884 -- 22 Oct 1976
I could not identify a wife for him.
