OBITUARY

     Martha Mae JOHNSON, age 59, of Hardinsburg, died Thursday, December 19, 
1996 at Unversity Hospital in Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County)  She was born 
April 4, 1937 in Breckinridge County, a daughter of William and Lela WILKERSON 
WOODS.  Survivors include:
her husband, Charles JOHNSON of Hardinsburg
three sons
one daughter
four step-sons
one step-daughter
four brothers:
George WOODS of Flaherty, Ky (Meade County)
Ivan WOODS of Cloverport, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Alfred WOODS of Hardinsburg, Ky
Charles WOODS of Stephensport, Ky (Breckinridge County)
two sisters:
Mary Nancy HORTON of Hardinsburg, Ky
Rachel NORRIS of Stephensport, Ky
2 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren
     Services were held on Saturday, December 21, 1996 at the Trent-Dowell 
Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, with burial in the Hensley Cemetery in Garfield.

#0172 Hensley-Dowell Cemetery, located in Hensley, Ky at the junction of Highways 
60 and 86, near Garfield in Breckinridge County.
