Page 2, Hardinsburg News Item:  Seriously Hurt:

     Mr. Joel Jordan of near Bewlwyville, met with a severe accident near 
Webster Sunday morning.
     He was going to Walnut Grove to attend the funeral of his brother.  While 
riding along the road his horse stumbled and fell.  In the fall, Mr. Jordan 
was fastened beneath the horse, and his leg was broken.
     Mr. Jordan is 80 years of age, and is quite feeble.  Owing to these 
circumstances, it is thought that his recovery is doubtful.
