Age 89 years, 6 months and eight days. She was the daughter of the late Wm. Cain and Catherine Hardaway Cain. Mrs. Keith fell and broke her hip a few weeks ago which was the cause of her death. She was married to Wm. Keith October 31, 1878 and to this union five children were born, two Mary and Sadie preceded her in death. Surviving are three sons, Raymond and Grover, of Bewleyville and Boyd, of Louisville. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Rev. James Keith, Miss Ethel Keith and Boyd Keith, Jr., of Louisville, and Avery Keith in the U.S. Navy in California, two brothers H. C. Cain, of Louisville and Philip Cain, of Irvington. Mrs. Keith has been the faithful and efficient Bewleyville correspondent for The Herald since 1917. The body was brought to the Ashcraft Funeral Home and remained there until Saturday afternoon when it was removed to her home in Bewleyville. Mrs. Keith was converted when a young girl and united with the Bewleyville Methodist church and remained a loyal and devoted member until death. She was one of the oldest members of that church. She was a devoted mother, a good neighbor and a friend to all. She will be greatly missed in her community, her friends and loved ones and most of all by her devoted children. Funeral services were held in the Bewleyville Methodist church Sunday afternoon, with her pastor, Rev. G. G. Lyle officiating, who paid a beautiful tribute to her memory. Burial was in the Hardaway Cemetery with J.D. Ashcraft Funeral Director in charge.
