Miss Mary Keith was born June 18, 1883, and died May 5, 1905, having lived here nearly twenty-two years. She had been ill of a lingering disease but bore it all with Christian patience. She gave her heart to God and joined the church in early girlhood, and had been a constant attendant of religious services all her life. Especially in the Sunday-school was she a ready and willing worker. She was one of the sweetest, loveliest girls that ever lived in this community, gentle and affectionate in disposition, and had many friends. No one who ever knew her can doubt for a moment that she has entered into the everlasting kingdom and is at rest. The funeral services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. W.A. Hynes, in the Methodist church, and then she was laid to rest among friends who had gone before. It is sad to have her go, but the dear Lord knows best, and has taken her to himself. The grief-stricken parents and brothers may be comforted by the fact that Mary has many friends who share with them this unspeakable sorrow.
