OBITUARY
     Bobby D. KENNEDY, age 82, of Garfield, Ky in Breckinridge County, died on 
Friday, February 2, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, surrounded by family

and friends.  He was born in Garfield on December 28, 1935, the son of the late E. 
B. and Wilma WHITWORTH KENNEDY.
     He served as Chief Deputy Sheriff of Breckinridge County from 1970 to 1974, and

Sheriff from 1974 to 1978 and 1982 to 2002.  He served as Sergeant-At-Arms for the 
Kentucky Sheriff's Association from 1986 to 2002.  Bobby was a member of the Freedom

Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Custer Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by:
his grandson, Robbie JACKSON
two brothers:
Harold KENNEDY
Jim KENNEDY
his sister-in-law, Sharon BURNETT KENNEDY
     He is survived by:
his wife of 44 years, Sharon R. KENNEDY of Garfield, Ky
seven children
5 granddaughters; 9 grandsons; 11 great grandchildren
two sisters-in-law 
     Funeral services were held at Freedom Cumberland Church on Tuesday, February 6,

2018 with burial in the church cemetery.  Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg,

was in charge of arrangements.

#0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from KY Highway 60.  The church lies east of

the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge.  Breckinridge County, Ky.
