Beulah Mae Kennedy, age 87 of  Garfield, KY died Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 
Breckinridge Health, INC. She was born in Cloverport, KY on 12-27-1919, the 
daughter of the late Raymond and Emma Staples Goatley. She was a homemaker who 
enjoyed  spending time with her family, quilting, fishing, gardening, canning 
and beating everyone at her favorite game - Yahtze.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband - John William Kennedy,Sr. a son-in-
law: Larry Drane and a grandson - Robbie Drane
10 brothers and sisters: Victor Goatley,Alice Nelson,Raymond Stanley 
Goatley,William Otis Goatley,Dessie Thurman,Bessie Coogle,Dorothy Harris,Lewis 
Goatley,Johnny Goatley,Anna Louise Goatley
Mrs. Kennedy is survived by 11 children:
Anna Mae Drane(Ova) - Woodrow,KY
Lou Ella Arnold(Eddie) - Glen Dean,KY
Jerry Kennedy(Merrilee) - Cloverport,KY
Emma Smith - Custer,KY
John Kennedy,Jr (Bernice) - McDaniels,KY
Pauline Drane - Woodrow,KY
Curtis Kennedy (Helen) - Denver,CO
Ray Kennedy (Catherine) - Richmond,KY
Denise Hunt (Jerry) - Leitchfield,KY

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 22,2007 at 2PM at Trent-Dowell 
Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Tucker and Rev. Frank McCallum officiating. Burial 
will be in the New Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 3-
8PM and after 10AM Sunday at the funeral home. 40143
